I specialise in documentary photography. This means I photograph life exactly as it is. No posing, no fake smiling on command. No directing. I work both in monochrome and colour. Documentary photography is different to lifestyle photography in the way that it portrays your life as it is. It's celebrating it, warts and all. You are someone who actually want to enjoy the present and want to be able to remember it exactly as it is in the future.
From a 2 hour shoot to a whole day session, I can provide strong individual images but I can also create a story of your family life for you to be able to keep and look back on in years to come. My work is fundamentally about saving memories. It's about you looking at the story I tell in 10 year's time and thinking "Oh yes, that's what he used to do when he was tired!". It's about capturing all the little detail that traditional photography doesn't capture. Because after all, it's the details that make up our personalities, that make up who we are, that make up our lives. I want to be able to give you the chance to hang on to those little details, just so that we all are able to appreciate them more. So for every session, I produce a slideshow that tells your story. Because, above and foremost, I am a storyteller. I also produce individual images that you will want printed, framed and hung on your wall. With the digital world taking over our lives, we have forgotten to print images and yet it is printed work that makes the most impact. If you have any questions at all, get in touch and ask. For me, it's far more important to click with people than to click the shutter. So having a great rapport with my subjects is essential to my work. So don't hesitate to contact me and ask anything.
