More time makes me invisible! The more invisible I become, the sooner I get the real shots, the ones that tell your true story.

My award-winning images usually are from whole day sessions or from “A year in a life” sessions and this is because I have time to catch you being you. If you are reading this, you a probably not really after studio images or even lifestyle images which make you and your home look like a perfect catalogue family. You are probably reading this because you want to invest in very real but yet exceptionally beautiful moments and you’d like those captured professionally. You are probably reading this because you recognise that documentary family photography is more suited to your needs.

For this session, I arrive as you and your children are getting up and I start shooting straight away, I then leave at bed time. I typically produce 200-300 images on a whole day shoot, all of which you can then download in both web-sized files or high resolution from a private online gallery.

With this package, you also received a superb soft touch photo print box with a ribbon tie closure: the box comes with a set of ten stunning 8″x10″Crystal Archive Photographic Matte Prints on white strut mounts. From your private gallery, you are also able to order albums and frames. I would highly recommend investing in an album (whether you buy this from the gallery or make your own), as I really believe that photographs are meant to be printed, poured over, loved and cherished.

Worried that you’d feel awkward or that having a “stranger” around your home for a whole day would actually be tiring? Why not read some of my reviews. I am far from perfect (although I am real!) but all of my clients have told me how easy it is to be in my company. My vast life and professional experiences as a deputy headteacher and teacher means that I am a very empathetic person who can sense people’s moods and knows when I need to give people more space. You don’t need to tidy up, you don’t need to put away the washing (washing lines make GREAT photos!), you don’t need to worry if your little one has a tantrum, you don’t need to worry if the day isn’t going according to plan. The minute you hire me, we become a team. I am so committed to documentary photography because I believe that we want to represent ourselves as we truly are, because we are absolutely fine as we are.

If you’d like to learn a bit more about a day’s shoot, why not head over to my “Family FAQs” page.

If not and actually you’d like to ask me some questions or you are considering a Day’s shoot, then contact me.

Finally, if actually you love the sound of ‘A Day in the Life” and you’d love the opportunity to have that rolled out throughout a whole year, why not read about “A Year in the Life of”, which is the most popular package as it is such good value.
