“Thank you for being the dream to work with. I don’t usually like photos of myself but there genuinely wasn’t a picture I didn’t love - you’re a genius” (Flic, Bride, October 2023)

FAQs

  • I have lived in three countries and in my previous life, I used to be a deputy head teacher of a primary school. These two aspects of my background put together mean that I am very experienced in working with people. What does that mean for you specifically?

It means I can sense when you are nervous and I know my calm will be contagious.

It means I know that the language of kindness is the solution to most temporary conflicts.

It means I deal with different worlds colliding professionally. Family dynamics, cultural differences, you name it.

It means that I have a huge amount of empathy and anticipate people’s needs well. Both of which are so important when dealing with highly emotional events.

Finally, it means that I have experienced a heck of a lot in my life. From elations to deep personal tragedies to insane adventures, I have learnt over time that being authentic to ourselves and sharing our vulnerability makes us so much stronger. On one of the biggest day of your life, I want you to know you can be as vulnerable as you like with me. I have seen it all.

So how does it feel to work with me? It feels emotionally safe, it feels comfortable, it feels fun, it feels relaxed, it feels meaningful.

  • We can certainly have a pre-wedding shoot in London or Herts where I am based for an additional fee (from £200). I prefer giving you the flexibility of choosing what you prefer to have as part of your package than to force an automatic “add-on” that you may actually not care so much for. My engagement shoots include both stills and footage. About 5% of my couples choose to have a pre-engagement shoot. If you are worried about needing to get to know each other or the ice to be broken ahead of the wedding, then I absolutely don’t mind meeting you mid-week locally… but otherwise, I am very approachable and used to making people feel at ease very quickly on the day. So if you don’t have the budget or the time (or the inclination) for an engagement shoot, then don’t worry. Your wedding images will be just the same with or without one: full of emotion.

  • Absolutely! I shoot 90% of the time candidly, but I understand sometimes group shots are needed. I probably take a maximum of 20-45 mins for group shots depending on what you need and I like to keep them really fun and light-hearted. I am also very happy to spend a bit of time with just the newlyweds to take some portraits around the grounds.

  • If you like the look of my portfolio, get in touch and check my availability. Then from there, we set up a zoom call so you can tell me all about your plans and gauge whether I am the right person for you. If all good, I then take a 20% deposit to secure your date.

  • Anywhere between 200-600, hugely depends on how long I am with you and what goes on during the day. Probably best to consider what you are getting as a “story” rather than a specific number of images.

  • In the Spring and Summer, the wait can be up to 3-4 weeks. But in quieter seasons, it can be as quickly as 1-2 weeks. I will let you know as I leave roughly how long the wait will be.

  • You have two months to share, download and print from your gallery. So best download your images in a couple of safe places as soon as you are able to. I do keep the images for a period of 6 months after your wedding, just in case though!

  • Ideally yes as a wedding day is a long day for suppliers… BUT, it’s totally up to you. Just let me know in advance so I can plan for it. Wedding menus are very expensive so I would never expect the same food as the guests (I am at work after all!). Venues are used to this, they normally provide a hot plate for the suppliers.

  • I don’t. Purely because I like to be able to give the best of my attention to stills and their composition AND videography is a profession in itself. What I do offer however, if you do want your speech recorded are sound films. Let me know if you’d like me to add that to your package. If you are unsure and you do want footage then I highly recommend you get a professional videographer. Spend that bit of extra cash so that a professional can create an amazing keepsake for you to look back on in years to come. I have a few recommendations. I can include some names in my booking confirmation.

  • My whole day coverage fee covers 8-10 hours. You can add extra coverage hours at £150 per hour. Again, I do this to give you the flexibility to choose what you want from your package.
